For the Autumn/Winter season of the Lethbridge Fashion Week, we got a whole team together to get talking with designers, models, vendors and even a few guests about what got them into the fashion industry, what brought them to the show that night and got a deeper look into their personal adventures!

Amaka is 22 y/o and this season was her very first LFW show! She has never modelled before this and is excited to see where it takes her as she strives to bring more diversity and showcase/ represent the beauty in Black Queens.
Outside of modeling, she’s currently finishing off her final year in her second degree in a Nursing program; public health being her first degree.

Ana is 19 y/o and started modeling at a young age in Cuba. This is her very first season in the LFW show and second runway show overall.
Demi Zaleskova / @demizaleskova
Demi is 19 y/o and is used to being behind the camera rather in front of it. Being her first LFW show, she found it amazing to be exposed to both sides of the camera. She plans on moving to Vancouver to further pursue her dreams of photography and film.
Grace linitski and Ella Arnell

Grace is a 19 y/o model who has been modelling for two years and has won several major titles including, Miss Teenage Alberta 2017, 4th runner-up Miss Teenage Canada 2017 and Miss Teen Swimwear. In her free time, she dances keep herself busy.
Ella is a 16 y/o model, who had her first LFW Show in Fall of 2017 and has been published in Xpression magazine alongside her sister! She too has a strong presence in the dance scene and plans on travelling to Germany for the World Tap Dance Championships as a Member of Team Canada.

Lacey is a 28 y/o freelance model and she started modeling because everyone surrounding her said she’d be a shoe-in and has been enjoying it ever since she took the confident leap forward and starting working with local photographers. Apart from working at Catwalk Salon as a Master Stylist, she finds modelling is the most real (living) form of art and is planning future shoots with that eye for art.

Ruth is a 20 y/o model and this would be her 3rd season in a LFW show! Being very shy, she feels like a diva once she’s in front of the lights and cameras and thanks modelling for helping her feel more comfortable with putting herself out there.
She looks forward to pursuing her dreams as an Afro Asian model once she finishes her final year in her Accounting Degree. She’s been approached by multiple agencies from Calgary, Montreal and Toronto and is excited to bring something different to the modeling industry.
